Franklin Springs, GA - North Greenville's late comeback fell just short in an 8–7 loss to Emmanuel (Ga.) on Saturday.
The Trailblazers trailed early after a five-run second inning but responded with three runs in the third and tied the game at 5–5 on a two-run homer from C.J. Dean in the fifth. Emmanuel regained the lead late, going up 7–5 in the eighth.
In the ninth, Josh Foulks hit a solo home run and Jan Pospisil delivered an RBI single to tie the game at 7–7. However, Emmanuel answered in the bottom half, using a walk and an error before a walk-off RBI single sealed the win.
Foulks led North Greenville at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs, while Dean also drove in two. The Trailblazers finished with 12 hits in the loss.
