Stephen Fite Tabbed the Next Head Coach for North Greenville Women's Soccer

Tigerville – North Greenville Athletic Director Will Lowrey has selected Stephen Fite as the next head coach for North Greenville Women's Soccer.

Fite has spent the last five years with North Greenville as the assistant coach of the NGU Men's soccer team, helping to develop the Trailblazers in to one of the Conference Carolinas top teams, advancing to the league finals for the first time in program history this past season. He has served as Assistant Coach for the NGU Men's Soccer program since 2021, where he also assumed the position of Reserve Team Head Coach.

Under his leadership, the team achieved its first winning season and secured its inaugural trophy in program history by winning the Conference Carolinas Developmental Tournament. Additionally, Fite played a vital role in guiding the NGU men's soccer program to unprecedented success in 2022, including finishing the regular season with program highest finish tied for 2nd place, reaching the final four of the Conference Carolinas Tournament, earning National and Regional rankings, and securing multiple all-conference honors for the NGU players.
Fite began his coaching career in youth soccer, serving as a Staff Coach for Dallas Inter Soccer Club (2001-2004), FC Dallas Soccer Club (2004-2008), DFW Tornados Soccer Club (2008-2010), and American Eagles Soccer Club (2010-2014). Stephen holds a USSF National Coaching License.

Transitioning to professional/semi-professional and amateur levels, Fite served as General Manager and Assistant Head Coach for the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and the Men's United Soccer League (USL U20) at the American Eagles Soccer Club from 2010 to 2014.

"Stephen knows NGU and our expectations well.  He is driven and highly competitive. We feel strongly he will build on the foundation Coach Crim has laid out these past two seasons.  With a solid recruiting class coming in, this team is ready to win." – Will Lowrey, Athletic Director.

"I'm extremely excited to step into the role as head coach at North Greenville University. This program has great potential, and I'm looking forward to building a competitive, unified team that represents the university with pride," says Fite. "This is a special place with a strong mission, and I'm excited to build on the foundation that's been established while developing our players both on and off the field."
