The North Greenville Trailblazers improved to 3-0 after finishing the Houston Winter Invitational with a 10-4 victory against the Tars of Rollins College in Houston, Texas. NGU grabbed the lead early on and pulled away in the middle innings.
Matty Brown took the mound for his first start in 2026.
CJ Dean would immediately get the Trailblazers on the board with a two-run home run. Rollins would get on the board with a run in the bottom of the 3rd, but North Greenville would get the run back with a bases-loaded walk before scoring two runs in the 5th including an RBI double by
Jan Pospisil and an RBI single by
Kai Tullos. In the 6th, NGU would pull away for good with a four run inning that included a two-run single by Pospisil and RBI singles by Dean and Tullos. The Tars would put up a fight in the 6th and 7th, scoring three runs. However, the Trailblazers would score the final run of the game, an RBI single by Pospisil in the 8th. Kaden Roach would pitch the final inning to comfortable secure the win for North Greenville.
Brady Price was credited with the win.
CJ Dean hit a home run and finished the day with three hits including a double, three RBIs, and 2 runs.
Jan Pospisil went 3 for 5 at the plate with 4 RBIs and a run scored.

North Greenville will return to action at Ray & Bea Dillard Field against the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University on Wednesday, February 4th.
