Central, S.C. – North Greenville outpaced the Warriors on Saturday in a back – and -forth, high scoring affair to down Southern Wesleyan 85 – 81 to wrap up the 2025 portion of this season's schedule.
North Greenville shot 44 – percent while the Warriors shot at a 41 – percent clip. In total, the game saw 15 - lead changes in a contest that saw 10 – ties. The trailblazers helped SWU with 20 – turnovers that resulted in 15 – points for the Warriors. North Greenville led by three points with 14 – seconds in the game looking to close it out but a foul earned the Warriors a pair of free throws which cut the lead back down to one.
Jayla Cook would come through for North Greenville in the final seconds with four points on free throws including icing the game with a rebound on defense that forced the Warriors to foul.
Cook finished with 14 – points and eight rebound and a game high three steals.
Maliyiah Mason led NGU with 23 – points and seven boards.
Quinn Johnston had 10 – points. Cook also had six assists.
