The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Belmont Abbey Crusaders with a final score of 79-44 in Belmont, North Carolina in the first action of 2026. NGU couldn't get things going early on, going 0-8 from the field in the 1st quarter and trailing 24-5. Things improved in the 2nd quarter, but only slightly as the Trailblazers would go 2-13 from the field as BAC would pull away further to take a 45-16 lead into halftime. The struggles continued from the field in the 3rd quarter as North Greenville would go 3-10 from the field including 1-7 from three point range to trail 62-23 at the end of the 3rd quarter. NGU would finally get going in the 4th quarter, making six of ten shots from the field and outscored Belmont Abbey 21-17 in the 4th quarter. BAC dominated the afternoon in points off turnovers 28-12 as well as second chance points 16-2.
