North Greenville fell to the Falcons of the University of Montevallo this evening in Montevallo, Alabama with a final score of 18-11. NGU fell behind early when the Falcons scored the first three goals of the game. The Crusaders would fight back with three of the next four goals, which were scored by
Emily Zambrano,
Isabella Ortiz, and
Lauren Crane. However, after a goal by each team Montevallo pulled away with six straight goals to lead 11-4.
Kylie Keen would score the final goal of the first half, but the Falcons would take a comfortable 11-5 lead into halftime. UM would begin the second half with three of the first four goals, which NGU's being scored by
Kylie Keen. North Greenville closed out the third quarter with two of the three final goals. After a goal by Montevallo to open up the fourth, the Crusaders responded with three consecutive goals with two scored by
Emily Zambrano and another scored by
Katie Keller. The Falcons closed things out with the final two goals to ultimately win by seven. NGU finished the game with a total of twenty-six shots and led in saved with nine.

Lauren Crane finished her night with 2 goals, 2 assists, 7 draw controls, 3 ground balls, and 3 caused turnovers.
Kylie Keen also scored 3 goals and also provided an assist, 7 draw controls, 2 caused turnovers, and a ground ball.
NGU will return to action on Sunday, February 11th against the University of Alabama Huntsville Chargers in Huntsville, Alabama.
