North Greenville women's soccer received a 1st place vote and ultimately came in at 2nd place in the 2022 Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Preseason Poll, the conference announced earlier today. The 2nd place selection is the program's highest ranking in the poll since joining the Conference Carolinas in 2011. NGU is coming off a strong 2021 season that resulted in a 11-4-5 overall record with a 9-1-2 record in conference play, which put North Greenville 3rd in the final Conference Carolinas standings. UNC Pembroke received eleven of the thirteen 1st place votes while North Greenville and Mount Olive each received a vote of their own. The 2022 season is set to begin on Thursday, August 25th against the Bearcats of Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina
