Crusaders Fall Victim to High-Powered Charger Offense

Tigerville, SC - North Greenville suffered a one-sided 21-6 loss to the Chargers of the University of Alabama in Huntsville this afternoon at Pepsi Stadium. The Crusaders faced an uphill battle as a 10-0 lead by UAH proved to be too much to recover from. Rachel Kellogg led the Crusaders with three goals.

Recap
  • Alabama-Huntsville dominated the start of the game, jumping out to a 10-0 lead in the first twenty minutes of the game. Olivia Foltz would finally stop the bleeding with NGU's first goal. After a goal by the Chargers, Emma Mayew and Rachel Kellogg ended the half with free position goals to make the score 11-3 at halftime.
  • UAH would start the 2nd half with the momentum once again, scoring the first four goals of the half to jump out to a 15-3 lead. However, the Crusaders refused to go down without a fight as Rachel Kellogg would respond with two goals and Emma Mayew scored a goal of her own to pull back within nine. Alabama-Huntsville would go on to score the final six goals of the game
